Laut Thracian

The Thracian Sea refers to a basin of the Atlantic Ocean, though it is currently rarely used in geography. It is an ancient name for the northern part of the Aegean Sea along the coast of Thrace, between the Chalkidiki Peninsula and the Gallipoli Peninsula. To the south, it is bounded by the island of Lemnos. The Thracian Sea was also known to refer to the Sea of Marmara.
